North Shore Private Hospital
North Shore Private Hospital (NSPH) is a 313-bed surgical, medical and maternity facility located on Sydney’s lower North Shore.
With our recent South Wing expansion, North Shore Private can now offer every patient a single room – for a quieter, more comfortable hospital experience.
The hospital’s specialties include orthopaedics, obstetrics, neurosurgery, intensive care, cardiac surgery, cardiology, ear nose and throat, vascular, plastics, oncology and general surgery.
Comprehensive diagnostic facilities and medical consulting suites are also on site.
North Shore Private, a Sydney University teaching hospital, is involved in some of the world’s most innovative research programs.
This includes the ICHOM lower back pain initiative - a joint initiative with Harvard and the The Boston Children's Hospital - which tracks patients with lower back pain up to five years.
The hospital is also a renowned leader in the fields of pancreatic surgery innovation, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, cardiac services and maternity. Our continuous loop of obstetric care includes emotional wellbeing assessments for expectant mothers, through to delivery.
Post delivery, one-on-one baby feeding and settling clinics are provided by experienced nursing and midwifery clinicians.
At North Shore Private we are committed to providing an excellent standard of patient care. Our patient outcomes for the prevention of infection, falls, hand hygiene compliance and neonatal outcomes continue to trend well above the national standard hospital benchmarks. Patient outcomes can be viewed here.
We look forward to caring for you and your family at North Shore Private Hospital.
